As the NBA’s star free agent LeBron James parted ways with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat earlier this month, there have been many rumors abuzz in regards to ‘King James’ and his future South-Florida residence.
A story last week in Life&Style Weekly reported that James had visited and begun the process of buying a $49.5 million, 20,000+ sq ft Coral Gables mansion owned by auto tycoon Alan Potamkin. However, according to a story today from the Miami Herald, no such deal should be expected.
“There’s been no contact between me and him,” Potamkin told the Herald. “I went through a divorce and put the home on the market about a year and a half ago, and delisted it about four months ago.”
The 8 bedroom, 11 bathroom mansion situated on the Biscayne Bay was among the highest priced properties in Florida while on the market.
