The Short List: The A-Team’s Ways to Make Sure You’re Providing Stellar Customer Service

Every week, we ask a real estate professional for their Short List, a collection of tips and recommendations on an essential topic in real estate. This week, we talked with the A-Team of Avatar Real Estate, made up of agents Laura Barreto, Brittney Barreto, Debbie Preston and Nancy Hogan, who shared their ways on how to make sure you’re providing stellar customer service. 

In these days of instant gratification demanded by the consumer, we formed the “A-Team” of four full-time real estate professionals in order to implement systems that would ensure delivery of extraordinary customer service. Through the power of experience, our team parleys knowledge and learning experiences from servings as the past chairman of the Florida Real Estate Commission and chairman of the Miami Association of Realtors, as well as management positions to over 400 realtors and extensive community roots that are generations deep.

4. Safety and Security – Depending on the property represented, we always create a strategy that includes two to four agents at every open house and many showings. In these times, safety and security has to be a priority.

3. Versatility – Our team focuses on listening and implementing the correct strategies to meet each customer’s individual needs. Today you have to have the ability to adapt to the situation in order to develop and implement the correct plan to deliver the expected results.

2. Communication – The number one complaint from many is that their realtor does not communicate enough with them. When meeting with your seller or buyer, determine what is there preference of communication whether its text, email or a phone call. Then, create a system that meets the needs of the individual consumer. As part of the communication system, we have one of our team members on call at all times, including weekends and holidays. Effective communication includes being available after the closing for any concerns that may arise. This ensures 100 percent customer satisfaction.

1. Teamwork – Your reputation among the public and your fellow professionals is vital. Whether it be inspectors, appraisers, title companies, always be a part of the solution and not the problem.
