The Related Group, Tate Capital and Rok Acquisitions recently unveiled plans to co-develop The St. Regis Resort and Residences, Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale in collaboration with Marriott International.

The first phase of the $2 billion development at the existing mega-yacht marina will see the addition of a “Monaco-inspired lifestyle destination” with branded residential towers, a St. Regis hotel, private beach club and restaurant and retail establishments. Sales for The St. Residences are now underway. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is the sales and marketing agent for the condominiums,

Condominiums will include three- and four-bedroom options ranging from 2,600 to 3,550 square feet, as well as penthouses. Residences in the hotel will range from one to three bedrooms, with penthouses available as well. Homes will start at $2 million for resort residences and $4.4 million for standalone condominiums.

The development, 10 years in the making, will cover over 40 acres and be built in two phases. Two 23-story towers with 160 condominiums and a 197-key luxury hotel, all under the St. Regis brand, form the centerpiece.

“While Bahia Mar has attracted global yachting enthusiasts for decades with its prime location and unparalleled superyacht infrastructure, its full potential had yet to be tapped,” Related Chairman and CEO Jorge Pérez said in a press release. “Blending world-class residential, hospitality and lifestyle offerings, this visionary development is not only befitting of this one-of-a-kind site but also a critical addition to Fort Lauderdale’s broader evolution.”

Arquitectonica is the architect, while London-based Tara Bernerd & Partners is handling interior design. The master plan includes 88,000 square feet of waterfront commercial space with restaurants and boat docking, a public park along the Intracoastal Waterway and a 25-foot-wide pedestrian promenade. A marina with slips for mega yachts up to 350 feet long is a major component.

There will also be 17,000 square feet of interior amenities in each tower, including spas with steam rooms, saunas, hot and cold plunges, treatment rooms and wellness terraces; a salon with beauty services; an indoor-outdoor fitness center; a children’s entertainment room; library/media room; private dining room and billiards room.

Outside amenities will include terraces with summer kitchens, a private pool, pickleball court, programmable multisport simulator and house bicycles. Finally, there will be two resort-style swimming pools, a fitness center, spa with outdoor amenities and a signature restaurant with water views.
