Oaklyn, an 11-story, mixed-use tower in the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Oakland Park, opened its doors to residents this month after receiving its temporary certificate of occupancy on Sept. 15. Developers, industry professionals and residents gathered at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 21 to commemorate the event.
Located at 3333 North Federal Highway, Oaklyn includes apartments ranging from studio to two-bedrooms. All units feature modern upgrades, such as Italian-inspired cabinetry, stainless-steel appliances and quartz countertops. Interior design was handled by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design, with First Florida as the general contractor.
“Our goal was to create an urban, walkable environment that still provided some suburban warmth,” said Koby Assaraf, principal at Newrock Partners — Oaklyn’s developer — in a press release. “The starting point for us was a dated office complex with surface parking, and our ending point is the creation of a vibrant campus.”
One of the development’s focal points is the collection of large-scale murals from local artists, including Krave Art founder Daniel Fila and his collective of commissioned artists. These art installations are present on both the interior and exterior of the building.
Resident amenities include Oak Three, an indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge outfitted with an entertainment kitchen, communal games, pool deck and hot tub, grilling stations and day beds. The pet-friendly development also features a pet spa and an indoor/outdoor fitness center.
In addition to its residential space, Oaklyn will be home to a variety of businesses, including restaurants, gyms and offices.
Leasing and property management will be handled by Bozzuto.
