Miami’s third-most-expensive off-water home sells for more than $15.4 million

by Patrick Regan

Miami’s third-most-expensive, off-water, single-family home sale was recently completed for more than $15.4 million.

The home at 2900 Brickell Ave. in Coconut Grove sold for $15,424,500. Jelena Khurana and Julian Johnson of The Corcoran Group represented the seller. Daniel Ekerold of Douglas Elliman represented the buyer.

The custom-built home is more than 7,700 square feet, featuring seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a rooftop deck and a lavish outdoor dining area with a pool.

The property is across the street from hedge fund manager Ken Griffin’s $109 million home, purchased last year.

“Brickell Avenue has become one of the hottest addresses in Miami, with proximity to Brickell offices, shopping, restaurants, and highly-rated Coconut Grove and Coral Gables schools,” Khurana said. “This sale is a witness to it. This particular location feels like a quiet suburb, yet you are in the heart of the city and only minutes away from the airport.

“The price tag wasn’t just based on the low inventory for new construction in this location but based on the fact that this is a high-quality, custom-built home. Today’s educated buyers understand the difference between custom and spec homes and are willing to pay a premium for a good build.”
