What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

My most interesting job before becoming an agent was as a paralegal working on foreclosures. I got to know the owners and saw their hardships during the process. I learned valuable lessons about this process and felt inspired to work on the other side of it as a real estate agent. When the crisis of 2008 came along, I was very educated in foreclosures and short sales and was able to assist my buyers and sellers.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up on the South Shore of Long Island in an area called Five Towns.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

I knew I wanted to be in some area of law and business, but I didn’t have a specific profession in mind.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

I can’t resist a good book and enjoy unwinding with my readings. I also love watching Netflix and being outdoors.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Since I enjoy music, I would want to meet all the members of the Beatles! Princess Diana is another well-known figure I would have liked to meet.

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

South Florida’s best-kept secret is its diversity, which translates to everything from delicious cuisine to vibrant music and people.

What do you love most about the industry?

I love meeting new people! Fortunately, this industry has allowed me to connect with many worldwide who I may not have met or crossed paths with if it wasn’t for my occupation.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

There is a lot of multi-tasking that comes with this career. I would say this is difficult at times, but it also helps me grow in my field.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

I think it is essential to keep in touch with clients and friends. Your best resource is a referral.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Lately, I’ve been listening to Pop Country music because it reminds me of old-time rock and roll, which tells a story.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

South Florida has so many great restaurants, and it is impossible to pick just one! I love Sushi and Italian food and try to eat it at different eateries.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

One Thousand Museum is gorgeous, but my favorite, Fontainebleau Resort, will always be an iconic piece that represents Miami.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I am very handy; my drill and toolbox are always nearby.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

I’m grateful to live where people vacation, there is always something to do and places to explore. Besides Miami, I love to travel to Europe to explore different cultures and cuisine!

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Know your market, be punctual, respond quickly and be available; this is not a part-time job.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?

I don’t have any favorites, but I follow other real estate agents and my favorite musicians!
