Florida is the 14th-best state to live in the country, according to WalletHub’s 2021 Best States to Live In list.
WalletHub compared all 50 states across five metrics covering affordability, economy, education and wealth, quality of life and safety. States were also compared across 52 livability indicators, including housing costs, income growth, education rates and the quality of hospitals.
Florida came in near the top of the list for quality of life, at No. 6. It also ranked 14th for economy, 16th for safety, 33rd for affordability and 21st for education and health.
The Sunshine State had one of the highest housing costs, according to the report, coming in 47th. It ranged 46th for having one of the lowest percentages of insured populations. Florida tied for first place with California, New York and Texas for having the most restaurants per capita.
