What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? I was a teachers aide at a pre-school.
Where did you grow up? Islip, New York and moved here for college.
Growing up, what did you want to be? A teacher
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Walk, read and online shop.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Ronald Regan – because he was able to relate to so many different types of people on so many different levels.
Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret? Not so sure it a secret….but Vizcaya. It is so close and just such a beautiful place to walk and take in the architecture, the history and the gardens.
What do you love most about the industry? I love meeting all different types of people and helping them sell their home and find a new home of their dreams. I love getting to know them and what they really want. Every person and every deal is different, and that is what makes it so interesting.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? When there are multiple offers on properties because someone winds up not getting the property they wanted.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Reach out to what is in front of you. Talk to everyone. You never know who is looking to sell or buy and who they know. Anyone that knows me knows that I talk to everyone! And then…nurture those relationships. Don’t give up.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? Binging: Ozark and Virgin River, Reading: Walk the Wire – by David Baldacci and listening to Frank Sinatra….so classic.
What’s your favorite meal in South Florida? Anything Italian and Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida? Flagler Museum in Palm Beach – the combination of the architecture, the furnishings, the artwork and the grounds is just so amazing.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? Showed a house at noon, they went back to show it at 6 p.m. and the neighbor had moved in – they tried to make a deal without me. They got into a fight with the seller and moved out and called and apologized to me. I would up selling it the next week.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you? I actually do like to relax – although my phone is always next to me – just in case one of my clients needs me.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why? Italy! I just love the history, the scenery and the people, and oh, of course the food!
