Agent Snapshot: Nicole Sanchez, Sales Associate, One Sotheby’s International Realty, Brickell

by South Florida Agent

What was your first job in the real estate industry? After completing my Bachelor’s degree at Florida State University and returning home to Miami, I worked in the marketing department for a local real estate brokerage. During my time with that company, my passion for the industry strengthened and influenced me to pursue my real estate license.

Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in the beautiful and always energetic Miami.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I always envisioned myself in business, but it wasn’t until I took a real estate introductory course at FSU that I started considering a career path in real estate.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I must admit that I don’t suffer from stress a lot. I try to work out every day of the week and spend time unwinding with family and friends on the weekends. I try to be conscious of my personal life and work balance.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I love to meet with clients and friends at B BISTRO + BAKERY in the heart of Brickell. I love the ambiance, the rotating menu of savory breakfast and the urban oasis location.

What do you love most about the industry? I love the number of people I get to interact with on each transaction. It is not only about servicing the client, but it also about dealing and learning from so many different professionals and experts from various fields. I also love that I am my own business, that I get to use my attributes to dictate my growth.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? Initially, it’s my digital presence, and ability to use online platforms to promote my services and my client’s listings. Being a millennial, I have a clear understanding of how to use social platforms and take advantage of this digital era. I am also very organized and disciplined. Although clients initially seek me for my digital expertise, their ultimate satisfaction comes from how well organized and disciplined I am.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? The uncertainty of not knowing where the next deal or closing can be the most challenging, but also is what keeps me focused and working hard.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? I received 2018’s Top 3 Under 30 award at One Sotheby’s International Realty. The award took into account all the South Florida agents, and I am very proud of this accomplishment.

What was the last good book you read? Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

What is your favorite restaurant? Cipriani Brickell on the south side of the Miami River in downtown has to be my favorite as of lately. The delicious food, panoramic views of Biscayne Bay, and chic aesthetics make it a great time every time.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects

What kind of car do you drive? BMW 330i

What is your favorite city after Miami? Paris

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Work hard, be consistent and let your work speak for itself.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Curate by Sotheby’s, which stages a property and allows my clients to visualize what space will look like with furniture.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? Samantha DeBianchi (@SamDeBianchi). I admire her work ethic, how she has created a brand for herself, runs her own successful real estate brokerage company, and is also building her own income producing real estate empire. I aspire to achieve the same goals as her.
