Every year, REAL Trends, a leading source for industry analysis and information, publishes its 500 lists, which rank the country’s top residential brokerages by transaction sides and total sales volume. This year both Florida- and Miami-based brokerages were well represented.
It was Jacksonville-based Watson Realty Corp. that topped REAL Trends’ 2016 statewide list for transaction sides with more than 15,700 total sales throughout 2015. The brokerage snagged the No. 21 spot on the national list, and was followed closely by Miami’s The Keyes Company, which, with 10,699 closed sales, claimed the No. 2 spot statewide and the No. 39 spot nationwide.
Ranking on the basis of volume, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty in Sarasota stood out at No. 1 statewide (No. 30 nationwide), closing nearly $4 billion. The Keyes Company again represented the best of Miami, boasting a national rank of No. 47 and $2.8 billion in total volume.
Overall, Florida had more than four dozen residential brokerages make the REAL Trends 500.
