Every week, we ask a real estate professional for their thoughts on some of housing’s most pressing issues. This week, we talked with Brianna Gallagher, a Realtor with Ancona Real Estate.
Miami Agent (MA): How important is walkability to your clients? Is this a trend you expect to become even more prevalent in the future?
Brianna Gallagher (BG): I think walkability is becoming more and more important to my clients today. Our culture is all about convenience and people love the idea of being about to walk outside their front door and have everything they need within reach. This is the idea in Midtown with the Midtown Shops and the residents there love it. I think it has a very New York feel to it and New York has had a lot of influence on Miami in recent years, especially in the Design District, which many are calling “Miami’s SoHo.”
MA: In terms of building your brand, what methods have you found most effective?
BG: Most people will say that spending big bucks on marketing material is the best way to build your brand. While this can be very effective, I like to think the best way of building my brand is through my customer service and building customer relationships that last. Referrals and word of mouth are the best ways to get new customers in real estate, and if you can consistently give great service, you will continue to build your brand for years to come.
MA: As a fairly young agent in Miami, what are the most difficult hurdles to success in such a competitive market?
BG: As a younger agent in Miami, one of the most difficult hurdles to success is my lack of years of experience. There are many agents out there who have years and years of experience, but I don’t think that necessarily makes them better realtors than me. I think I just need to continue to prove myself by leaving my clients with a great experience each and every time, and that will continue to bring me return clients and referrals.
