Residential Construction in Miami Stumbles in July

Construction spending stumbled a bit in Miami in July, though it’s more an outlier than anything else.

Residential construction spending in the Miami region totaled $307 million in July 2014, a 27 percent decline from last year, according to the latest stats from McGraw Hill Construction.

Even with that decline, though, construction is still trending positive for Miami in 2014. Through July, construction is up 14 percent from 2013.
