Residential Construction in Miami Stumbles in May

Residential construction markets were a bit inconsistent in May, though the news was not all bad.

Residential construction in Miami declined quite a bit in May, falling 44 percent year-over-year to $269 million, according to the latest numbers from McGraw Hill Construction.

Though a disappointing result, Miami’s numbers were consistent with other metro areas, which also saw declining residential spending. Also, on a year-to-date basis, residential construction in Miami is still up 11 percent.
