Home buyers in Parkland, Florida can now get a taste of Watercress at Parkland, a new housing development expected to welcome its first residents next year.
As reported by the Sun Sentinel, Standard Pacific Homes, a developer based in Irvine, Calif., opened its sales center Saturday Aug. 10. According to the article, prospective buyers can visit three model homes that represent the 450-home development plotted on “The Wedge,” a 288-acre, lakefront site in Parkland.
In addition to the homes, which cost between more than $400,000 to more than $1 million, the development will feature amenities such as a pool, fitness center and sports complex, according to the article.
Some homes have already been purchased, and Brad Hunter, a local housing consultant, told the Sentinel that Standard Pacific Homes should not have to worry about sales because buyers are eager to avoid ascending mortgage rates.
“There’s a tremendous amount of demand that Watercrest can capture and serve,” he said.
