Lourdes Guzman, Partnership Branch Manager

Rate, NMLS # 1539716

With over 20 years of operations and finance experience working for corporate America, Lourdes Guzman became an expert in strategizing and finding creative solutions to optimize processes and cost saving opportunities while leading local, regional and global projects. “During my travels and community interactions, I discovered how dealing with individuals from different backgrounds, countries and ethnicities was simply fascinating,” she shares. “It allowed me to share and acquire knowledge with and from individuals in different countries as well as across internal organizations.” That appreciation and respect for all aspects of diversity, passion for education and entrepreneurial spirit brought her to the mortgage industry.

A partnership branch manager with Rate, Guzman specializes in jumbo loans, bank statements and asset utilization. With a goal to make the homebuying and loan process as smooth and efficient as possible for her clients, she focuses on being detail-oriented, knowledgeable and compassionate. “I am passionate about educating and helping others understand the process,” she explains. “I want to serve my community by guiding them through this difficult yet exciting process.”

A member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Guzman received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in international business. Her formal education and multinational experiences provided her with the skills to quickly understand complex transactions, tax returns and business accounts, both domestic and international.

Guzman’s love for traveling has taken her to many exotic locations over the past few years including Germany, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, England, Austria, Turkey and Puerto Rico. Her proudest accomplishment is watching her daughters thrive in life; one recently graduated with honors from Florida International University, while the other is currently attending the University of Florida. “It confirms that my career choice to enter the mortgage industry eight years ago is paying off,” she says.
